Congress leader Kapil Sibal has claimed that BJP leader and leader of Opposition in Bengal assembly Suvendu Adhikari was threatening ‘Muslims’, and there have been no action on him.

TMC leader Derek O’Brien replied to Sibal, with a video clip of Suvendu Adhikari where he was saying India should teach a lesson, the same way Israel is acting in Gaza, and the same way Pakistan was handled in Operation Sindoor.
Not just Sibal, many other handles too shared the same clip, with false claims that Adhikari is threatening Indian Muslims.
TMC spokesperson Tanmoy Ghosh also made similar false claims that Suvendu Adhikari is threatening Indian Muslims.

However, the full video of Suvendu Adhikari’s statement shows he made no mention of muslims, least of all Indian Muslims. He was speaking on the atrocities against minority Hindus in Bangladesh, especially on the aftermath of the brutal lynching of Dipu Chandra Das by a Muslim mob in Mymensingh last week.
The BJP’s Bengal unit held a massive protest rally in Kolkata on December 26, where hundreds of BJP workers and Hindu monks marched towards the Bangladesh High Commission in the city.
They should be taught a lesson. There are 100 crore Hindus in India, we have a government that protects Hindus. They should be taught a lesson in the same style Israel is teaching inn Gaza, and Pakistan was taught in Operation Sindoor”.
In Adhikari’s statement, there was no mention of Muslims, least of all Indian Muslims. He was speaking about the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh.
